Do a JW believe himself/herself to be chosen by God? (seems impossible if God cannot see who will die young or not)

The all-knowing God does not know when we shall die...there is no fate?!?
by Mr Fool ini wonder this: according to jw, god does not decide or know when anyone shall die (or get born) = there is no fate.
well, the one who dies very young will not have the chance to "know" god through the bible.
if it s just a coincidence if we die young or old, shall we be proud and happy about (something that god has not given to us) a random life with time enough to give us the chance to know god through the bible?.

HELP! Can God SEE the future?? How?? Is this predestination??
by Bloody Hotdogs! inhad a very long and frustrating debate last night.. .
jws like to say that god has the ability to foresee the future, but can chose not to look.
this, they claim, removes the problem of predestination/preordination.. .

If god cannot even see when a person shall die - he must have problems to see any kind of future.

Conclusion according to JW; the ones who study the Bible, they are not chosen or selected by God, they study it totally by chance because God has no idea who will grow up to the age when one can read......! How will this make sense??

Infinity and god - why wait to create the universe?
by Simon inhere's the problem with infinity ... we can't comprehend it.. it's bad enough when it's space, but when it's time as well and then we throw in some all powerful creature supposedly existing forever ... well, it just doesn't make sense and raises questions.. such as why wait?
why didn't god create the universe the day before he did?
or the day before that?

If God exist and if he is eternal, why did he waited forever until he created the world? And even if he had created the world 38 billion years ago; the same......why did he wait forever?

Is it alowed to watch / read Harry Potter movies (books) in your area?....
by Albert Einstein inis it alowed to watch / read harry potter movies (books) in your area?.
in my country (eastern europe) it is viewed mostly as "unexemplary" , although many kids have harry potter dvds at home, but nobody talks about it .... at circuit assembly one speaker warned, that "some might be tempted to watch a movie, with a little witch .... (of course it is very dangerous and we must stay away!!!)".
when i started my departure several months ago, i made sure my son has all movies on dvd and i openly talk about it with dubs who visit our home - how nice the movies are - ... nobody so far dared to react.... albert .

I guess many here will read a new bible with high interest, only to search for what "updates" (modifcations) have been made

"The organization has never disappointed us..."
by Franklin Massey inin the simplified english edition of the july 15th, 2011 watchtower, in an article that warns jws about apostate influences, the following quote is given as a reason to stick close to the watchtower organization:.
"the organization has never disappointed us and always gives us an abundance of pure waters of truth from god's word.".

It can be interesting when someone ask a JW: -Is this statement true or false?: "never disappointed us" and then again,
true or false?: "always gives us....the truth..."
If he/she does not know its history, just show him/her this: (Proclaimers of Gods kingdom p633)

I don´t see the problem with the cross. In "The Harp of God" in several places in that book it says that "Jesus died upon the cross" with this picture:

I wonder if that cartoon writer really did it "live", or if it has been edited afterwards....?!
